If you want to further boost the success of your aesthetic or beauty business, then it’s time to think outside of the box. Every business needs to market itself and most importantly build a brand. There are many ways that you can raise your profile as a company in order to attract more clients and sell more treatments or products and build trust around your brand. This article will explore some of these options so that you can decide which ones would work best for your business needs.

Local Outreach

When you are ready to boost your business, and increase your visibility, don’t be afraid to ask for help and don’t be afraid to promote yourself and what you do. Trying new things can be time consuming so trying one element at a time is a great starting point, it also means you can successfully measure the success.

Having a website is the key to the below suggestions, it is a point of reference and a Call to Action for new clients to visit, read information and ultimately book treatments. It should be kept up to date with relevant content, offers, treatments, events and reviews.

Social Media

You can post updates on social media such as Facebook or Instagram in order to keep people updated on what is happening within your business. You can include links to your website with a ‘Call to Action’ – i.e. ‘Book a FREE consultation – Click Here’.

Social Media is a great way to connect with local people and businesses. You can start by following them, commenting on their posts and tagging them in offers. The more social you are by sharing and commenting on others posts means others will engage with you. This is not a quick fix process as again you are building trust for your brand.

Through Social Media you can find local people that are interested in your services and products. You can start to build relationships with them by sharing content that is relevant to their interests. This will help you connect with more people who are looking for your business. You can offer them a special deal or discount as an introduction to your services. You can also run competitions with prizes, events and even joint promotions with other people/businesses so you piggyback on their followers. Once you have built up a following it is important to keep the communication going by posting regular updates on what is happening in your business.

Networking

Another step is to get out there and meet people in your local area. This can be done through networking events. You can find these events by searching on Google or checking out local business networking groups in your area. These events are a great way to meet like-minded people who have similar interests in the local community and can offer advice and support on how to meet and reach new clients. Some of the networking groups work on a referral process so you can end up being recommended to all of the groups contacts.

You can also attend business conferences, join professional bodies or set up your own networking group. The more people you meet, the more opportunities will arise for you to do business with them and potentially bounce your business to a new level of success.

Awards

Putting ‘Award Winning’ or ‘Finalist’ next to your business adds brand credibility and shows that you are a leader in your industry. Awards are also great for attracting new clients because they show what kind of work you do and how well you do it.

If you enter local business awards it says that you are a valued member of the community and that people want to work with you. It is important to note that awards do not have to be big or expensive (but they can be). The point is that by winning an award, people will take notice and see you in a different light. You can apply for awards that are relevant to your business and then enter the award process. Almost every industry has an award that you could win, from environmental responsibility to customer service excellence. Some awards are based on a nomination process but many are open to anyone who wants to apply.

The key to building your brand and attracting new clients is by being visual in the right places at the right time. You have to make sure that people know what you do and why they should come to you. To do this, you need to get some exposure and engagement in the local media, or even just social media.

If you have a team working with you they can also build your social media engagement by sharing your content, tagging their existing clients, using their images of work and tagging your business. There are lots of ways to get the team involved – and it is free!
